2. Repurpose old jars

In order to achieve beautiful and unique lamps, the old glass jars can be used. Mason jars are a flexible, inexpensive material to use as lighting elements that can be made on your own. You just clean up a couple of mason jars and apply some colour to them, so that they can be used as lanterns. Paint the jar, add fabrics and laces or cover it with decorative objects for a creative expression of your lighting design.

To make sure that the paint is evenly painted, use a coat of primer. To create a bolder effect, select a colour which complements your current furniture or experiment with bright colours. As soon as the paint has dried out, you can add an accent to your jars that reflects your own style. Use fabric or lace to wrap and attach decorative items, such as beads, shells & trinkets. Add a fairy light string to each jar, after that.
