Terms and Conditions for Oraanj Mentorship Programme
Welcome to Oraanj Interior Design Mentorship Programme (hereinafter referred to as “the programme”). By participating in the programme, you (“the Mentee”) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions, which constitute a legally binding agreement between Oraanj Interior Design (“Oraanj”) and the Mentee. Please read these terms carefully before accepting.
1. Parties
This agreement is entered into by Oraanj Interior Design, located at 2nd Floor, Hygeia House, 66 College Rd, Harrow, HA1 1BE, and the self-employed freelance designer, hereinafter referred to as the Mentee. Collectively referred to as the “Parties.”
2. Effective Date
The effective date of this agreement is the date of acceptance into the Oraanj Mentorship Programme.
3. Services

(a) The Mentee shall provide services on live trainee interior design projects under the general direction of Oraanj’s Principal.

(b) Oraanj shall, at its sole discretion, decide whether to include the Mentee in meetings with prospective clients.

(c) Paying members will be given priority access to engage or work with clients as part of the mentorship programme. For free members, client engagement is completely optional and subject to availability at Oraanj’s discretion.

4. Early Termination Penalty
  • Termination Without Notice: If the Mentee terminates the programme while participating in a live project without providing at least 14 days’ prior written notice, they will be required to pay a penalty fee of £1,500. This fee reflects the resources, time, and commitments made by Oraanj.
  • Termination with Notice: The Mentee must provide a minimum of 14 days’ written notice before terminating the agreement. Notice must be sent via email to [email protected] or as a written document delivered to Oraanj’s registered office.
  • Project Handover During Notice Period: During the 14-day notice period, the Mentee is required to:
    • Complete any client projects they are working on, as directed by Oraanj.
    • Ensure a smooth handover of all project-related information and materials.
  • Ownership of Documents and Work: All documents, designs, and materials created during the mentorship period are the exclusive property of Oraanj Interior Design. The Mentee must return all such materials to Oraanj upon termination.
  • Exemptions for Valid Reasons: Termination due to medical reasons or other valid circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation, such as a medical certificate, must be provided. Oraanj retains the right to assess the validity of the reasons.
5. Programme Requirements

(a) The Mentee agrees to perform all tasks as prescribed in the Oraanj university course.

(b) All work done by the Mentee must be stored on Oraanj’s shared drive and remains the property of Oraanj.

(c) The Mentee must adhere to the most updated version of the course content.

(d) Failure to perform allocated tasks or adhere to Oraanj’s standards may result in immediate termination.

6. Eligibility
The Mentee must provide proof of their legal right to be in the UK before joining the programme.
7. Remuneration
The Mentee acknowledges that no financial reward or payments will be provided during the programme.
8. Completion Certificate and Freelancer Role

(a) Oraanj will provide periodic evaluations highlighting areas for improvement.

(b) Upon successful completion, Oraanj will issue a certificate of completion and may provide a reference letter.

(c) Freelance opportunities within Oraanj will be offered at Oraanj’s sole discretion.

(d) Paying members will be prioritised for freelance client opportunities during and after the programme, subject to performance and programme completion. Free members may be considered for such opportunities only if availability permits.

9. GDPR Compliance

(a) Adherence to Data Protection Laws: The Mentee agrees to comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 while participating in the programme.

(b) Handling Client and Company Data: The Mentee must treat all client and company data as confidential.

(c) Use of Personal Devices: If personal devices are used, they must be secured with up-to-date antivirus software.

(d) Data Breaches: Any suspected data breach must be reported immediately to Oraanj.

(e) Data Retention: All data must be returned or securely destroyed at the end of the mentorship period or upon request.

(f) Training and Awareness: Oraanj will provide necessary guidance regarding GDPR compliance.

10. Confidentiality

(a) Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information.

(b) The Mentee shall not share course materials without Oraanj’s written permission.

(c) Confidential Information includes all proprietary data, trade secrets, and designs shared during the programme.

11. Termination

(a) This agreement remains in effect until programme completion or early termination.

(b) Breach of confidentiality or terms by the Mentee constitutes grounds for termination.

(c) Oraanj reserves the right to terminate the agreement if applicable fees are not paid.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By participating in the programme, the Mentee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined above.
